This is an acrylic painting on cradled hardboard, and, as if often true, I was thinking about deep space imagery. I poured, squirted, sprinkled, tilted, and worked on my hands and knees creating something that resembled one of the many images that have so amazed and startled us. I used acrylic inks and powdered pigments as well as fluid acrylics. The whole is sealed in polyacrylic. This painting was recently exhibited in a juried show titled "The Captivating Cosmos" at the Pierro Gallery in South Orange, NJ. Midnight blue background, aqua, cobalt blue, pale magenta dominate.
