Artist's Profile
I like to think of my fine art photography as street photography . I really don't do photo essays with my art, I like to see it, shoot it and move on. I like to think each image has a life of its own. When I am not doing my fine art photography I work as a commercial photographer, products, some portrait, industrial and real estate photography.
I studied photography at the San Francisco Art Institute where the Ansel Adams influence was strong which I grew to accept but not follow. The large format camera was great a inspiration and influence on my photography today. From the Art Institute I moved to New York to become a commercial studio photographer. I have been or had many shows through my career but I enjoyed more having a National Endowment of the Art Grant through public schools systems, in my case the Arts Council of McPherson Kansas. My grant covered teaching photography at the high school and college level.
